With 23 employees (17 Petrotechnical, 3 sales representatives and 3 administrators) of 5 nationalities, we serve oil& gas companies, governmental offices, universities and scientific & research institutes in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

My feeling is that the Tokyo office is a little different from what you’d expect in a typical foreign capital firm or IT company. Yes, we have many foreign coworkers and we speak English to each other. We deal with IT in our job, such as software and databases. However, I tend to think of the Tokyo office as more like a pure service provider.
In the Tokyo office, you have many opportunities to work at the customer site, providing support or registering data. This is because SIS is not just a software and database supplier, but is also a solution provider and works to solve customers’ problems with IT knowledge. Of course you need to become an IT expert, but this is a job where you will be rewarded by making the customer happy. This is an important part of our service sector-like culture. |
